Hi,

My name is Rev. Edward G.Smith and I am senior pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church. My family and I moved to Colorado from Pennsylvania in l983 and we have certainly enjoyed living and serving our Lord in such a beautiful state. My lovely wife Cheryl and I have four children and very recently have been blessed with two grandchildren. I am conservative when it comes to the interpretation of God's Word as revealed in scripture but liberal in my mission and outreach to God's people.

I have been involved with Habitat For Humanity since l985, first working on the Chicago Jimmy Carter blitz build in Chicago Illinois and then the following year in Charlotte North Carolina. In 1986 I helped found Loveland Habitat For Humanity and have been involved with Loveland Habitat ever since. Every summer our congregation joins with Loveland Habitat For Humanity to build houses in Northern Nicaragua as well as provide clean water, school scholarships, medical help, as well as mission support for the community of CauCali.

We are also involved in the building of Habitat homes here in Loveland participating in the Lutheran built home every summer. I have also served as a Loveland police chaplain for 24 years. I love to preach, teach bible studies, ski-both snow and water, play basketball, softball, and my version of golf. I especially enjoy the ministry and people of Trinity Lutheran Church and their concern for others. We have a wonderful faith community and I hope you will consider giving us a visit.

In God's Love,

Pastor Edward G. Smith
