Celebration Crosses
We would like to have a variety of crosses to place at the front of the church. The crosses will symbolize the various seasons of the church year (e.g., Advent, Epiphany) and celebrate special occasions (e.g., Pentecost, Baptisms, Weddings). We currently have two crosses, both made by Horst Foerster. They are the Good Friday cross and the Trinity cross. Once we get a few more crosses, we will display the ones not in use in the Social Hall.
We invite you to help add to our collection of crosses. If you would like to make a cross, but have no idea what designs are possible, contact Ann Duran (663-7605). She has a catalogue with all sorts of designs to choose from. Do they have to be made from wood? No. The choice of materials is up to you. Some suggestions are wrought iron, stained glass, metal, and horse shoes. The only requirement is that they have to fit into the existing floor stand.
If you decide to make a cross, please let Ann know so duplicate crosses of a single design are not created. If building a cross isn’t your thing but you would like to help, you can contribute money to go towards the construction of the crosses.
Thank you.

Christmas Services
For the past few years we have been holding Christmas Eve services at 3:00, 6:00 and 10:30. The 3:00 and 10:30 services include the celebration of Holy Communion, but the 6:00 does not. We would like to know…
Should the times of the services be changed? If so, what times would you suggest?
Should Holy Communion be added to the 6:00 service?
If you would like changes to occur, please contact Marcia Green, Charlotte Willert, Mary Jane Schilling, Stener Carlson, Ann Duran, or Jean Weiss (the Music & Worship Committee).
We will interpret no feedback as “leave everything the way it is now.”
