Global Missions Outreach for May

May monies from our gift card sales will go toward an International cause.  This month we will be supporting the Sojourn Missions project in Haiti.  Church members, Tom and Amy Patrick have personally worked for this project and have presented an informative slide  presentation concerning the needs of this poor nation.

You can help support this project by simply purchasing King Sooper and Safeway gift cards after services on Sunday or during the week in the church office.  Global Missions is able to give back 3 to 5% of our total monthly card sales to support our monthly recipient.  This averages to $150 to $250 dollars a month!  The more you buy the more we can give back!  Our cards come in $25, $50 & $100 amounts and we accept cash or checks.  If you have any questions please stop by and talk to us.  Look for the “STOP” sign as you grab a cup of coffee after services.  Thank you for helping Global Missions to help others!

REMEMBER TO BUY  YOUR GIFT CARDS!

GLOBAL MISSIONS

Easter greetings arrived from Natalie Zarapova who now resides in St. Petersburg, Russia.  Natalie spent time with us here at Trinity while she studied at Pacific     Lutheran College.  Stop by the Global Missions bulletin board to see Easter    greetings in the Russian language.

CHINA UPDATE:

Judith Perry, missionary nurse who serves in China writes about a Visitation Team experience.  While witnessing to about 240 people whose average age was 56; she writes that those attending thought the sessions on Forgiveness was most   interesting and useful.  Judith writes that the elders of the Yuci church told them “You should take this training to other churches”.  Judith asks for our prayers for the future development and impact it could have and blessing it could be to all of China!  Please keep Judith and all missionaries in your prayers; and stop by the GM bulletin board to read about her work.

SOCIAL MINISTRY:

105 Health kits for Lutheran World Relief that were assembled by the members of Dorcas and Faith Circles were delivered to the Denver depot for their journey to any area of the world where devastation has occurred.  Many thanks for your support with this most needed ongoing project and a very special THANK YOU for the gifts of many towels, nail clippers and Band-Aids found in our receiving container.  We have an angel or angels among us!!

BABY LAYETTES FOR NICARAGUA:

Plans are well under way to accept gifts for the baby layettes that Pastor Ed and his wife Cheryl will carry to Nicaragua.  There is a baby playpen in the narthex that has lists of most needed items which are; baby blankets, onesies, (all sizes) diaper pins, plastic pants (all sizes),   diaper ointment, hats, bibs and baby vitamins.  No cloth diapers are needed at this time as they have been               generously donated by members.  Any questions? Please call Shirley Stickler @ 669-8385.
