Dear Trinity Members and Friends:

May is an exciting month here at Trinity with the advent of Mother's Day, confirmation and graduation.

Mother’s Day is celebrated with lot of enthusiasm in over 46 countries across the globe. To understand this holiday and what it really means, you need to understand the person in your life called Mother. This is the day to stop, remember, and pray for that special person in our life.

Our confirmands will be confirmed on Sunday, May 23 at the 10:30  service. Please join us in congratulating them for a job will done. Not only have they learned what it means to be a good Christian through their studies of  scripture and Luther’s Handbook, but they learned to apply the teachings by participating in several service projects. Some of our senior members were gifted with blankets, visits, cookies and music by our youth. On Maundy Thursday, the Lord’s Table was set with Seder plates and cups made by our confirmation students. We are very proud of our  Trinity youth.

Following tradition, our graduating seniors will be receiving quilts from Trinity to carry with them on their future paths away from home. Previous students have told us that the quilts bring them comfort and fond thoughts of the loving, generous people at Trinity. Many thanks to Cindy Tartaglia for making sure this tradition is carried on from year to year.

Note the new book cases in the library. These attractive pieces were made by the boy scouts who meet here at Trinity. We are very thankful for their talents and generosity.

Once again; I would like to thank the women of our church who participate in the prayer shawl ministry. It never ceases to amaze me that when we start getting low on shawls, a whole new batch arrives just in time to save the day. We have some new funds to buy more yarn, so be sure to call me with colors that you would like me to include in our supply.

Dear God,

Thank you for the generosity and outpouring of love and talents that our congregation so freely give’ to make the church a welcoming family for all. Thank you to our Trinity parents for being shining examples of Christ’s love to their children. Amen.

Happy Mother’s Day

In Christ’s Love,

Barbara Schmidt
